Venture back in time to learn about the arrival of East Polynesian people to Taranaki.
Students will explore the amazing taonga on display in Te Takapou Whāriki the Māori gallery and examine items from the Museum’s ‘hands-on’ collection.
We will discover how tangata whenua adapted a deep knowledge of nature and natural resources to become expert hunters, gatherers, builders, gardeners, weavers and more.
